A weekly library run.

Hello everyone!
I haven't been on in a while, my fault, I'm sorry! But over the past few days, I had the chance to go to the library, and I would love to share the books I borrowed with you...
First off...
Fifteen by Beverly Cleary
One of my all-time favorites! I do not own my own copy, though. I refuse to read any other copy of the book other than the one that my library has. I don't know how to explain it, but the moment that library takes it out of their collection, I will be the one there money in hand to get it. Prepare yourselves, ladies and gentleman!

Rosie and Skate by Beth Ann Bauman
I have only just started reading it, but it's a wonderful little read. Pick it up sometime!

How to Say Goodbye in Robot by Natalie Standiford

I haven't started reading it yet, but I really am looking forward to! This book is vibrant (bright pink pages at the beginning of every month!) and having only briefly met the characters, I love them already.
If you have read any of these novels yet, tell me what you thought! I would love to hear some feedback!
Have a great night everyone!

Song of the Day: Firework- Katy Perry
I have hat this song stuck in my head ALL DAY, but it's starting to grow on me... FIREWORK, come on show them what your worth!!!!!! ... Oh no!
(I probably got the lyrics all wrong, I haven't actually listened to the song since 2011)

Sick of being sick!

Hi everyone...
So, for the past few days, I have been camped out on the couch, sick with a cold. To put it plainly... I. Hate. Being. Sick. Seriously.
I haven't even been able to read or write! You know that I'm sick that I can't even read! So I've been hanging around the house, watching movies and sipping ginger ale (not even Earl Grey tea sounds good!).
So I thought that I would make a blog about the movies that I watched over the past couple days, since I haven't been reading much... Or writing much... Ugh!

Movie #1: Groundhog Day
This is a hilarious movie! But I can't help but think that if I had all that time to kill, all that I could learn in that time! If you think about it, what could you learn if you had eternity to learn it?

Movie #2: Wimbledon
I watched this for the first time today, and I thought it was so cute! I found it at Kmart for 7 dollars in a four pack with 3 other movies, and I'm so glad I picked it up!

Movie #3: Roman Holiday
This is a nice movie, they don't make movies like they did back in Audrey Hepburn's day, but the ending to Roman Holiday, in my opinion, is rather disappointing. I always want a happy ending, and I hate that Ann and Joe didn't end up together in the end. At the end of movie, I just found myself  saying That's it?!

Well, I hope everyone else is well! I'm going to go and make myself a cup of tea and see if it he;ps... I'm crossing my fingers!

One of those books...

Hi everyone!
So I'm rereading the awesomely amazing book by Alex Flinn, Beastly, which is one of my very favorite novels!

Highly recommended reading, ladies and gentleman! I love all the characters... well when Kyle becomes Adrian and isn't a jerk anymore... But I can relate to Lindy, who is forever consumed by a book, and has red hair. Terribly romantic and I can't ever put it down! I chomped through 175 pages in less than 3 hours, which is pretty good for an incredibly slooooow reader like me. Please read it!
I do want to see the movie, and I haven't yet. My friends all say it was really good, but different from the book, taking too many liberties. Have any of you seen it? I should probably go and rent it soon, but for now I'm just happy reading the book and making a little movie in my mind.
Just a little book babble, not quite a review, but just talking about the book as I read it. I think I'll do this more often, just talking about the book and not really reviewing it.
Going to bed soon, so so so tired! Have a wonderful night everyone!

The winter blues

Hi everyone...
Well, last Thursday was Groundhog Day, and Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter. So I just got to feeling a bit down today, longing for Spring to come! I miss the green! Everything seems so dull and... well... brown and icky! I was wandering around the internet and found this picture on one of my very favorite blogs...
Every bone in my body want to be there! It looks like the most peaceful place in the world!
Oh, why can't winter end already?!

Shooting the breeze.

Hey everyone!
Well, I feel very, very girly right now. I just spent the nigt playing with my hair, and make up, and watching beauty videos on YouTube. (Which I confess, I do way too much!) But I had a lot of fun, it was a good Saturday! Spent most of the day with my family, went out to eat for lunch and drove around town, nothing really special.

So a lot of my friends are going to see The Woman in Black with Daniel Radcliffe in it (here's the poster below...)
And are saying that it's really good. I am not a scary-movie person myself, but the huge Daniel Radcliffe and Harry Potter fan I am, I might have to see this. I can deal with nightmares for a month, can't I?
Well, if anyone's seen it, tell me what you thought! Good? Bad?
Have a great night everyone!

A wonderful day out...

Hey everyone!
I had a half day at school today, and my Momma and I thought we would go into town and go to our favorite little cafe, and then go and visit mu Aunt who also lives nearby. So I came up with the awesome idea (or I at least think it's awesome...) to take you through the day with me! Most of the shots are kind of artsy (when I'm armed with a camera, I get a little out of control...) but I like them a lot!
We went to a little Cafe in the city near my house and I got my very favorite drink... Chai!
Before...

After...

I. Love. Chai! It's amazing!
Here's where the artsy comes out... These are my very favorite new shoes, on the checked floor, and I just had to take a picture.
And then I took a picture of the salt and pepper shakers... but I made it into an awesome picture, that I love! Especially the two little hearts. This was so much fun to make!

Then I went to visit my Aunt who lives near me, and played with my little cousin for the afternoon, which was so much fun! She is the cutest little kid ever, no competition around!
I hope you guys liked this post, and liked the pictures. I hope everyone had as good a day as I did!
Song of the Day: Rumour Has It- Adele
While in the car with Mom, we were listening to Adele's CD 21 in the car. She's one of my favorite singers that we both like, and we also think that this song is so cute!

The Classics: One Word... Shakespeare!

Hey everyone!
For the second The Classics post, I thought I would post about the most classic writer of all! Shakespeare!

We know hardly anything about William Shakespeare himself, and everything that we do know is painfully vague. Even his birth date and birth place... and his authorship of his plays are questioned. But we do know very well are his plays, my personal favorites include Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and of course, Romeo and Juliet. (Hey, what else can you expect of me?) And also, his poetry!
All of his plays are masterfully and beautifully written. The lines of some of the most important characters poetic and have a rhythm to them. I know that if I could go back in time, I would go and see the opening night of Romeo and Juliet. Here's a picture of The Globe, where Shakespeare's works were performed...

Wouldn't that be amazing? And to meet Shakespeare would be so great, too, clear up the controversies surrounding Shakespeare and his legacy.
Poetic, romantic, and humorous, Shakespeare's theatricals and poems are simply perfect in every way imaginable.
~
Keep checking in with me for more reviews on the Classics! Next up is Louisa May Alcott, then O. Henry! Lots of good stuff coming, including a review I've been preparing for a while about the poetry novel What My Mother Doesn't Know. Thanks for reading!
