My Top 10 Favorite Trailers!

Hello everyone!
So I mentioned in a blog I posted earlier that I was a big movie trailer fan (geeky I know, but come on, it's me). So I thought just for fun I would post some of my favorite trailers! (Can you tell I'm kinda restless tonight?). I won't re-post the trailer for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, even though it is one of my favorites.

Trailer #1: The Art of Getting By

Trailers #2 and 3 (because they're both good): Like Crazy

Trailer #4 (a classic): Titanic

Trailer #5: The Great Gatsby (the new one that isn't out yet)

Trailer #6: Soul Surfer

Trailer #7: My Week With Marilyn

Trailer #8: LOL (the French version)

Trailer #9: Easy A

And finally...
Trailer #10: HappyThankYouMorePlease

Well, those are my top 10 favorite movie trailers! I hope you enjoyed this totally-random-off-subject-kinda-dumb blog, I really had a lot of fun going through my YouTube favorites list and picking through all the videos I have Favorited over the last, like, year and a half.
You have no idea how many Big Bang Theory clips I have Favorited! I counted. 46 in all. I guess that makes me kinda obsessed, doesn't it?
So this is kind of funny. I just realized, out of all the movie trailers I have here, I have only seen two out of ten of them in actual full-movie-form (If anyone is interested, it was Easy A and Soul Surfer, both of which I highly recommend!). Though I really really want to see all of them, especially Titanic.

Also, I wanted to throw a prayer request out there. I think we all have heard about the tragedy in Colorado, the shootings in the movie theater. I just wanted to ask my readers (if I have any...) to pray for those poor people who are grieving the loss of their loved ones. In times of great need and tragedy, we all need to join hands and help one another. Whether that's praying for them every night or sending cards to the families who lost someone they loved so deeply. Thanks you guys!

So I guess I'll leave it at that, have a great night everyone!

Summer Reads Book Review Series: Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

Helloo!
Here's Summer Read #2, and another awesome book!! Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson, read on to learn more about this truly epic book...

The title says it all. The book revolves around Amy Curry's cross country trip from California to Connecticuit. A lot has happened in Amy's life, her father's death, her brother's addiction and mother's abandonment. And now she has to move across the country to her mother's new home. So to get the family car to the new home, Amy's mother arranges for her to drive it over rather than shipping it. But since Amy is afraid of driving since her father's accident, her mom gets the son of a family friend to drive her. And in comes Roger, who has some secrets, too. Together, they discover new places, and form a new friendship that might end up helping them through the journeys they need to make, both on the road and personal.
This book is such a cute little read. And I kinda have a funny story about how I found this book! I was wandering around my local bookstore in early June and walked past a rack with a sign saying "Summer Reads". I stopped to look at it, and this book caught my eye, because I was just about to depart on my own month long road trip. I thought it was so ironic that I would find a book about a road trip days before I went on my own, so I just had to get it. I read the book while I was on the road, and even applied some of the road trip tips in the back of the book! So this book has a bit of a sentimental value with me, traveling all 6,620 miles right along with me.
Highly recommended, this book is the perfect summer read. Check it out at your local library today to experience it for yourself!
  Enjoy!

Summer Reads Book Review Series: Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen

Hey everyone!
So I'm finally starting that summer reads series that I told you guys about... Which I now realize was about a month ago (sorry about that). So here's the first book review, enjoy!

I know that this is such a huge cliche it's not even funny, but Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen is the ultimate coming-of-age story. This book has such a huge meaning with me, and I think that every girl should read this book. It deals with so many problems that teen girls go through today, bullying, confidence and self-image among others.
The story is about Colie Sparks who has to spend the summer with her Aunt Mira, who is more than a little weird, in a small beach town in North Carolina called Colby. But Colie slowly starts to really love Colby, her job at the Last Chance Bar and Grill, and the people she has met along the way. Especially best friends Isabel and Morgan, who teach her about friendship and confidence. And the realities of life.
Keeping the Moon is such a sweet read, and highly recommended! But can you really expect anything other than perfection from Sarah Dessen? Exactly.
Out of five stars, this book has 5/5! If you would like to read this book, go on and check it out from your local library.

Back from Vacation-- Random Blog :)

Hello again :)
Well, I recently got back from a month long vacation. I had a lot of fun, but if you have ever been away from home for a month or more, you know just how heavenly it is to finally be home. But the good news is, I got a lot of reading done! So you all can look forward to a bunch of book reviews coming up!

So I just wanted to just share some news with you all. First off is my new word count on one of my stories...
13,693 words!!!!!!!! I've never had that many words in one story yet! This may seem kinda stupid to more experienced writers, but this is such a cool new experience for me, being able to write soo many words in so little time. I'm very proud of myself :) This story is my baby, and this manuscript is the third volume of the series. The third volume is proving to be so much better in so many ways than the previous volumes, and so much fun to write!

Also, I'm so excited about another event coming up soon in my life.. A week at my favorite beach town in August! My whole family is going to be jam packed into our beloved house that we rent, and it's going to be the most fun ever :) So you'll probably see some beautiful pictures of that soon.

Okay, I've run out of things to ramble about so I'll sign off. I will be posting a book review soon!
Have a great night everyone...

Song of the Day: "It's Time"-Imagine Dragons
Okay, story time! So a movie is coming out this year called "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", which I have been looking forward to forever. And I think that that is because it has Emma Watson and Logan Lerman in it. But the only thing I think that I was looking forward to more than the movie was the trailer. Here it is from YouTube...
(Awesome, right?)
I have a really weird obsession with movie trailers, because if made well, they're pure awesome. And the trailer for this movie has to be the most epic one ever!! And this song is what makes it epic.
